All poetry is printed on 8 1/2" x 11" parchment paper with a font selected for the poem. Your choice of paper color: Ivory, Blue or Gray. Your choice of frame finish: silvertone or goldtone.
The blank page awaits.
What would I write of today?
What can be said? What can I conjure in my mind?
Will the words come from mind to paper
A singsong of rhyme and harmony,
Or just ramble with arrogance to dismay even the founders of this genre.
Is this a thing to do in the dark of night
With the hour marked by a mere single digit,
Or to do in the bright of day
Or perhaps some storm filled time
What could I guess that would satisfy?
I see poetry in a child’s smile
While whispering to an imaginary friend
And feel the touch of hand to sooth or excite
What poetry drifts within silent snowflakes
As they swirl on a cold November morn?
I imagine to roam with frost
Between snow and loam and roots of trees
Feeling his power as he pushes rock
And bits of things to the surface I fly above the earth as the crow
And put flight to words on the page.
Alas, this day my mind is mixed with all these things
And somehow that mind is unable
To sort one thing from another.
For this moment what you see
Will have to fulfill your desires… also mine
Please accept my apology
