Today I thought of you
And wondered how you are
It seems like only yesterday
We sat in your kitchen
For coffee, tea and chat
Circumstances beyond our control
Took you beyond the reach of comfort
We still chat online or by phone
With tea or coffee at our sides
Instead of each other
Those talks are more infrequent now
And there’s a hole in my life
Where we once were
Today I thought of you
And wondered how you are
